VAN JAMIE
Born in China. Recently based in Tokyo.
VAN’s practice is tied to a natural aesthetic influenced by oriental philosophy. Her recent work focuses on a combination of photography, video, performance, and installation. This is to explore beneath the human space of things by simplifying and abstracting the “artificial limit” as her own conceptual basis, her project aims to establish an exchange between viewers and the larger universe around them, utilizing a site- specific approach to culture or history.
